November 2004

November is the month for elections. City, state, national and even here at the Fiesta Men’s Golf Club we will hold an election for club president on Saturday, November 20th. You will notice in this month's newsletter a ballot for Club President is included. Harley and Serge have been nominated. Please mark an "X" next to the person you are voting for. (Please, no "write ins" for Donna Frye). There will be a ballot box provided before play begins at the Turkey Shoot on November 20th. Once the first player tees off, no other ballots will be accepted. Please make sure you are there early and make sure your ballot is in the box before we begin play. After the round, myself and another member will tally the votes and announce the winner before we have the ticket drawing.

Vote early and vote often !

Terry Boyll has volunteered to be our new tournament director. Gene Jaeger has done a great job this past year and is stepping aside to hand over the reins to the "Young Gun". We would all like to say thanks to Gene for a great year of fun tournaments.

Winners from this October's "Two Man Best Ball" tournament: 1^st Place - Jim Anderson and Jim Dunlap (44). 2^nd Place - Bryce Hodgson and Bob Pavon (47). 3^rd Place - Ed "Cappy" Capozzoli and Rick Lewis (47). 4^th Place - Rich Kohler and Charlie Beighley (48). The drawing went to Harley Jines. Closest to the pin: Serge Locko and Jim Dunlap. Way to go guys.

November 20^th is the annual Fiesta Mens Club Turkey Shoot. This is one of our most popular tournaments of the year. We’ll play sweeps, skins, closest to the pin and have our drawing. Everyone in attendance receives a gift certificate towards a turkey. Gobble. Gobble, Gobble.
