September 2004

September is a great month for Fiesta Golf Club. It’s our Club Championship and the Ryder Cup. Both tournaments should be exciting and filled with drama. More so at the Ryder Cup I suspect. GO TEAM U.S.A.!!!

On behalf of the entire club we would like to congratulate Serge on his HOLE-IN-ONE on the seventh hole on the East Course August 28th. All who witnessed this holy grail of golf said there was never a doubt when he hit it. I guess we will have to call him the Ace - Meister from now on. Congrats on a great shot.

Don’t forget, club dues are due BEFORE December 15^th, 2004. All members who have not paid will be dropped from SCGA on December 31^st. See Charlie to re-up for next year.

Winners of the August "Summer Shoot-Out" Tournament. First Place - Charlie Beighley. Second Place - Bob Hanna. Third Place - Bryce Hodgson. Forth Place - Terry Boyle. Charlie would like to thank all the players, especially those who choked, and to send his condolences to Jim Dunlap who had to leave after the eighth hole to attend anger management class. Closest to the "pin" - Rick Lewis and John Wayman. Way to go guys!!!

September will be the Club Championship. Low gross score will be named Club Champion. We will also pay the three low net scores. We will draw for foursomes before the round. Please remember in order to participate in the Club Championship, you must have played with the club at least six times in 2004.
