Hey, Fiesta Golf Club has grown to 55 members!! When I joined 5 years ago we had 35. Way to go guys. Remember, for every new member you recruit, you get a free weekday round (which you can give to the new member to entice him to join) AND 10 tickets in the drawing, very important as we approach the year end drawing for BIG prizes. Let’s welcome our newest members George Hunter and Harlan Malone.
We would like to remind everyone if you play in a tournament you MUST post your score as a tournament round. We are grown men and the club does not want to police you guys, but let’s be fair. Last month’s postings were great but some of you did not post as a tournament. Charlie will be checking score cards and if you don’t post a tournament score, he will do it for you.
Winners of the August “Low Net Plus Putts” Tournament. First Place - James Gray. Second Place - Loren Keinbaum. Third Place - Keith Carter. Forth Place - Rich Kohler. Fifth Palce - Wally Corey. Sixth Place - Bob Pavon. Seventh Place - Harley Jines. Winner of the drawing was Wally Corey. Closest to the pins: James Gray and Bryce Hodgson.
September’s tournament will be on Saturday the 17th.
It’s our CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP tournament and the LOW GROSS score will be
crowned "Club Champion" and will receive $100.00 in prize money.
Additionally, we will be playing three flights: A, B and C.
We will pay the 2 LOW GROSS finishers in each flight. (no handicaps)
Club dues for 2006 are due to Charlie by December 1st. PLEASE NOTE: SCGA raised its dues for 2006 by five bucks. Our membership will now be $55.
Well guys, after three year of doing your newsletter, this one will be my last. Terry Boyll has agreed to take over for me. It’s not that I don’t WANT to do it anymore, I just don’t have the time. It’s been my pleasure to serve the club these past three years and I hope I kept you guys abreast of what’s going on with the club. Joe O’Day wrangled me into this three years ago (of which I will never forgive him) but it’s been fun and I will miss doing the CLUB LETTER. See you guys on the course and remember “Hit’em straight and hit’em far and when it’s over, HIT THE BAR!!!
A message from the Pres….
I just want to personally say “Thank You!” Bob, for all the time and effort you’ve put into producing our newsletter for the past 3 years. You’ve done a fine job and deserve a break to concentrate on your golf game.
