The Fiesta Golf Club meets at 8 a.m. every Saturday at OAKS NORTH golf course.

 

It’s summertime finally! And that means longer daylight hours for all of us to play golf and a chance to take advantage of those twilight tee times. If anyone hears of any good deals on Tee times, be sure to email me at harjin2000@yahoo.com and I will make sure that it gets in the newsletter and on our website…(www.fiestagolfclub.com )

Terry wants to take a break from the Fiesta Newsletter so I will be taking over for a while until I can rope some other sucker into doing it. Please feel free to submit any pictures, news, ideas or articles that you want because

   I will be desperate for material to fill this letter every month.

 

M.I.A.  (members we haven’t seen for a while)

Joe O’Day : Joe showed up after golf a couple of weeks ago and had a beer with us.

Cappy: Tom Reid called Cappy and he said he would be playing again real soon.

Bryce Hodgson: Bryce has been playing during the week with the Vineyard’s men’s club

and has been playing with his Blow Kart on the weekends.

(I have been assured that the term Blow Kart is not a New Zealand euphemism)

Bryce is a US dealer for these wind driven carts and he races them competitively.

(Terry Boyll bought one and is converting his to a golf cart)

 

Some other guys we have been missing: Joseph Fiorito, Joe Faulkner Sr. and Jr.

 

We have about 50 members now and I would like to welcome some of our newest members:

Stephen Henderson, Art Krein, Tom Mc Cabe, David Dern, Walter Hunter, Corey Lees, Larry Johnson.

Be sure to introduce yourselves to them

and make them feel welcome by talking loudly during their back swings on the 1st tee.

 

Big Dan the Starter man is going to have a tournament to benefit his Mom on July the 15th at Oaks North and would like to invite everyone from the Fiesta Golf Club to participate.

That Saturday is also our tournament day so you could play 2 rounds.

Dan will provide further details concerning tee times, entry fees, tee prizes, etc,

and I will try to post it in next month’s newsletter.

 

Arrowood Tourney Results: 1st Tom McCabe, 2nd Fred Gammon, 3rd Rick Sagers,

4th James Gray, 5th Dick Swiatkowski, 6th Jim Sexson

 

The June Tournament will be on Saturday the 17th and we will be playing a

"Choose your partner "Best Ball" format.

I'm not sure if Jim means a "Better Ball or a "Scramble"
